Registration FAQ for Bunkerfest

To speed up the registration process at the event and help assure that teams are classified correctly, Bunkerfest 2004 will be using the APPA Player ID System. There is no additional charge to use the system. Player ID cards will not be required for this event, but players will need photo identification to sign in (driver's license, passport, etc. School ID and/or a copy of a birth certificate are acceptable for players under 16 years of age.)

YOU MUST COMPLETE ALL STEPS TO BE REGISTERED AND INCLUDED IN THE SCHEDULE!

Steps to Register:

  • Get a player ID number by using this form. Your ID number will be emailed to you, so make sure your email address is correct and check your bulk mail folders. If you do not receive your ID number, email your name and birthdate to ids@paintball-players.org. Remember that if you have already played ina league that uses the APPA system (PSP, NCPA, etc) you may already have an ID number.
  • Have all of your players get ID numbers using the same form. You can have them do it themselves and have them give you their ID numbers or you can collect their information and fill out the form for them using your email address. Make sure that each player's name and birthdate are correct!
  • Register your team online. If your team does not already have an APPA Team Number, click on the link on that page to get a team ID number. When getting a Team ID number, enter in YOUR player ID number and YOUR password in the first two boxes. Remember the team ID number. Once you have entered or received your APPA Team Number, you can select your classification and enter in the player ID numbers for your players and register. Don't worry if you don't have all of your players' ID numbers yet, you can come back to your roster and add them later, but you MUST complete your roster before registration closes. If you do not add all your players to your roster prior to registration closing, you will be charged a $5 fee to add players at the event, so please complete your rosters in advance.
  • Check the Team List. Once you've signed up, your team will instantly appear on the team list, along with your team's current payment status. You can click on the "Roster" link next to your team name to see your team's roster. You can also see your players' information and make roster changes by entering in your APPA Team Number and password (same password as the person who created the team.) You should make sure that all of your players' names and birthdates are correct, as they will be checked at registration and there will be a $5 fee to fix information at the event. If a name or birthdate are incorrect, please email ids@paintball-players.org with any changes that need to be made.
  • Pay. You may pay by credit card online or by calling 1.866.729.0364. Once your payment has been processed, your team's payment status will change from "Payment Pending" to "Payment Accepted".

As a reminder, player and team classification rules are below:

No Five-man team can have more than two players on their roster that is ranked a level higher. No Three-man team can have more than one player on their roster that is ranked a level higher. Five Man Amateur level teams may have two "pro or open" class players on their roster. Any team found in violation of these conditions will be disqualified from the tournament without refund. All members of the team playing at the time of the infraction may be permanently suspended from playing in any sanctioned APX PAINTBALL SERIES event.

6.05aTEAM CLASSIFICATION
For competition, the APX PAINTBALL SERIES classifies 3,5,player teams into the following four levels: PRO - a team in which any member has competed in 2 tournaments registered in the "Pro" division(s).

AMATEUR - a team in which has competed as Amateurs in previous APX PAINTBALL SERIES recognized events. When an Amateur team competes as Pro in a tournament, their members are immediately reclassified, individually, as Pros for subsequent competitions. However, if an Amateur team competes only once in a season at a APX PAINTBALL SERIES recognized event as "Pros" and finishes at or below 50%, they may petition the APX PAINTBALL SERIES to return to Amateur status (the current and subsequent seasons) , forfeiting any "Pro" circuit points they may have earned.

NOVICE - a team in which has competed as Novice in previous APX PAINTBALL SERIES recognized events. When a Novice team competes as Amateur in a tournament, their members are immediately reclassified, individually, as Amateurs for subsequent competitions. However, if a Novice team competes only once as Amateurs at a APX PAINTBALL SERIES recognized event and finishes at or below 50%, they may petition the APX PAINTBALL SERIES to return to Novice status (the current and subsequent seasons), forfeiting any "Amateur" circuit points they may have earned.

**The APX PAINTBALL SERIES may combine the Amateur class and the Pro class, or the Novice class and the Rookie class into one for tournament competitions; however, the APX PAINTBALL SERIES recognizes Novice and Rookie teams as a separate classifications and awards prizes accordingly in each tournament.

ROOKIE - a team in which has competed as Rookie in previous APX PAINTBALL SERIES recognized events. When a Rookie team competes in a Rookie/Novice class in a tournament, their members are not reclassified as Novice for subsequent competitions.

PRO - A player who has competed in 2 tournaments on a Pro team during the previous 12 months.

AMATEUR - A player who has played in the Amateur class, and who has not played more than once as Pro during the previous 12 months.

NOVICE - A player who has played in the Novice class, and who has not played as an Amateur during the previous 12 months, and who has never played as a Pro.

ROOKIE - A player who has played in the Rookie class, and who has not played as a Novice during the previous 12 months, and who has never played as Pro or Amateur.

6.06 A player shall be deemed to be and shall be Novice if he participates in any APX PAINTBALL SERIES event as a Novice. A player shall be deemed to be and shall be an Amateur player if either, (i) he played on an Novice team at the tournament that such team elected to go Amateur, or (ii) he played on an Amateur team during either: 2000 or 2001 in one or more APX PAINTBALL SERIES sanctioned events. A player is an Amateur if he played as an Amateur in any APX recognized event.
